Nick holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney and worked as a physiotherapist for several high-performance sporting programs such as the Tongan Rugby Union team and NSW Hockey. He continues to hold a keen interest in sports medicine, arthroplasty, and infection prevention.

He played rugby union for the West Harbour Pirates and touch football for Sydney University and the Sydney Rebels. More recently, he enjoys keeping fit through cycling and competing in triathlons.
